Clifton, 26th April

Went back to clifton for a full day on monday

Ground-ivy Glechoma hederacea was abundant on the weir field

Lots of dead nettles as usual, got this nice shot of White dead nettle Lamium album

Even more Forget-me-not, very abundant at the moment!!

Got some better shots of Cuckooflower Cardamine pratensis

Lots of Hawthorn Cratageus monogyna in flower

Truly the highlight of the flowering year so far though, is the carpet of blue blanketing the woodland floor, caused by Hyacinthoides non-scripta, our native Bluebell. I wish i could take better photos, but these were the best i got, wonderful experience!
